2 Lemons

Vegetable peeler

Peel one lemon

Drop into bowl

What happens? Does it float?

Why does the lemon with the peal float?

The rind is full of thousands of tiny air bubbles.

Why does the peeled lemon sink?

It sinks because you have removed the air bubbles that helped it to stay on top of the water. No air bubbles it sinks.
